  1. Many of the old remedies like hot honey and lemon drinks that have been passed down by our grandparents are the best cures. I know these drinks work well because I still use them when my throat is sore or if I have a cold. There is nothing harmful in them and they are inexpensive and also a lovely drink that even the kids will love.

    1. Hi Margaret,

Thank you for stopping by today. Yes I agree! Many of the hints, tips and little wisdom’s shared by our grandparents are the best.  I think there is a reason that they have stood the test of time.

I am pleased to hear that you enjoy a honey and hot lemon drink when you have a cold as well.

It is wintertime at the moment in my part of the world and LOTS of people around me have coughs and colds.

After winter comes spring. With spring many people experience the dreaded “Hay fever” symptoms. Are you one of those people as well Margaret?  If yes, have you considered using local, raw honey to help with your allergies?  I am sure that your local farmers market or local beekeeper will be able to help you out.

I know it has helped me out immensely.  Please feel free to read more about it in this article I wrote Manuka Honey v Raw Honey

Thanks again and all the best.
